Our Redkite and BlackKite wide-area motion imagery (WAMI) systems provide incident and operational commanders with unprecedented situational awareness over large geographic areas. Both Redkite (EO) and BlackKite (IR) support long-duration overwatch by helping law enforcement officers gather pre-mission intelligence as well as helping them follow actions in real time. The airborne WAMI sensors also help with the coordination of officer response over long-distance pursuits.
During an operation, commanders may not need to view a whole city at once, so both our Redkite and BlackKite systems provide for 10 streaming video windows, allowing users to follow different “chip outs” of a larger scene. Imagery captured by the sensors in near-real time can be transmitted to a user’s mobile device. In addition, officers on the ground can access the data stored onboard while the systems are still airborne.
