ISR for Aircraft
Logos Technologies Sensor Systems
Logos Technologies offers wide-area ISR systems housed in lightweight platform-flexible pods these podded systems can be attached to the exterior hardpoints of fixed-wing aircraft within minutes, for rapid deployment.
Our podded systems include the electro-optical wide-area motion imagery (WAMI) RedKite pod, the infrared WAMI BlackKite pod, and the three-sensor Multi-Modal Sensor Pod (MMSP). Given their light weight, a pod — or even multiple at the same time — can be mounted to an aircraft, allowing operators to image an area of up to 12 square kilometers, both day and/or night.

RedKite Block II Pod
Lightweight, Wide-Area Motion Imagery for Manned and Unmanned Aircraft
Redkite is a compact wide-area motion imagery (WAMI) system that’s housed in a platform-agnostic pod weighing less than 35 lbs. Despite its size, the electro-optical Redkite pod can, like larger WAMI sensors, monitor a city-sized area in near real-time, detecting and tracking multiple targets while also recording events for later analysis. Redkite’s on-board high-performance edge processor converts gigabytes of data into geo-tagged imagery in real time. With eight hours of mission data storage, operators on the ground can download both live and recorded imagery for real-time forensic analysis. READ MOREBlackKite Pod
Infrared, Wide-Area Motion Imagery for Manned and Unmanned Aircraft
BlackKite delivers infrared (IR), wide-area motion imagery (WAMI) in a compact, lightweight, platform-agnostic pod weighing less than 38 lbs. Easily mounted on fixed wing, rotary wing, and UAS aircraft, the BlackKite system monitors a city-sized area all at once, day and night, automatically detecting and tracking all significant movers. BlackKite's onboard high-performance edge processor easily ingests and converts gigabytes of data for easy storage, or real time dissemination of of live and recorded imagery to users on the ground. Within that vast coverage area provided by our podded systems, a sensor operator can detect and track in near-real time every significant mover, no matter how geographically dispersed. In addition, users on the ground can use handheld devices to access recorded imagery of critical targets for purposes of forensic analysis.
The RedKite (electro-optical), BlackKite (infrared), and MMSP (multi-sensor) systems deliver:
- A coverage area of up to twelve square kilometers
- Real time access to live and recorded imagery
- Resolution optimized to track vehicles and detect moving dismounts
- High-performance, real-time onboard multi-modal edge processor (MMEP)
- Onboard storage of up to eight hours of mission data
- Multiple unique streaming video windows to operators on the ground
- Imagery that can be transmitted to handheld devices
- User-defined “watchboxes” to provided sensor operators automated alerts
Training, Repair and Operation of WAMI Systems on Fixed-Wing Aircraft
Logos Technologies provides operator training on its fixed-wing solutions, as well as on-site repairs and system maintenance, at its headquarters in Fairfax, Virginia. In addition, Logos Technologies can provide its own trained personnel to deliver in-field operational support.
