Raleigh, N.C. – April 28, 2015 — Logos Technologies’ Information Science and Engineering Group has been appraised at Maturity Level 3 of the CMMI Institute’s Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI). The appraisal was performed by The Process Group.

CMMI is a capability improvement approach that provides organizations with the essential elements of effective processes that ultimately improve their performance. This managerial standard is often a requirement for U.S. Department of Defense contracts.

A Maturity Level 3 indicates that Logos’ processes are well-characterized and understood by employees and managers alike, and are described in standards, procedures, tools, and methods. In addition, the company’s processes are solidly established and continually improved over time.

Logos Technologies’ Information Science and Engineering Group develops high-performance software for the company’s wide-area motion imagery (WAMI) systems. Their development of novel algorithms and software systems provides Logos’ WAMI products with the ability to successfully image city-sized areas, track movers, store all imagery for forensic evaluation, and cue other sensors to precise geolocations within the field of view.

“Our Information Science and Engineering Group is key to the development of our systems,” says John Marion, president of Logos Technologies. “Our Level 3 assessment demonstrates our ongoing commitment to providing customers with the best products while maintaining process maturity and ongoing evaluation.”
