As president of Logos Technologies, LLC, Dr. John Marion manages the company’s daily operations.
Prior to joining Logos, Dr. Marion worked at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) for more than 20 years. There, he lead the Sonoma Persistent Surveillance Program, which developed the world’s first wide-area motion imagery (WAMI) system for persistent surveillance. That WAMI sensor would eventually be deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan as Constant Hawk.
Dr. Marion developed numerous advanced technologies for the intelligence community and for such military exercises as Top Cover, Blue Grass, Blue Devil, Empire Challenge and Trident Spectre.
Additionally, Dr. Marion served as Associate Director of the NSF Bio-photonics Center and adjunct professor of Pathology, at UC Davis; he was stationed in Paris, France, as the U.S. government liaison on laser technology; and he led the Hypervelocity Missile Technology Program.
Dr. Marion holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science from UC Berkeley.
